Have You Met Those Friends of Mine?

The kingdom of Madonia, a wonderful place where humans lived by day, their stalls filled with fruits and vegetables of every color. Where they thrived and never were scared of anything except themselves and their shadows... And maybe a rambunctious child pulling a prank or two. Ruled over by a Princess who was filling in for her mother, who had recently fallen ill, and her loyal jester, who had to keep spirits within the castle walls high.

But by night, the streets ran wild with magic and colors of a different kind. Monsters and beasts ran rambunctiously, and yet they minded their manners. They, too, ran their stalls, having artifacts and items of different breeds. They were all overseen by their king, the mighty red dragon on the mountain. Everything and anything detailed about monsterkind was communicated to him via a special service, but no one knew how it was done... And no human dared question it. After all, it wasn't truly their business as long as they stayed on their side of the times.
