Fractured Reflections

Well, it's known that in the Multiverse, there is a chance you could run into somebody who shares the same face as you. The same name. Or even the same story.
But what if you wanted to ensure your story wasn't repeated? To ensure that what happened to you would never happen to someone else.
What if you were given the chance to fix what happened? But not in your world. In your world, the damage is already done.
What if you were given a chance to stop it from ever happening in another world? In one so similar to your own but so different.
Suppose you were allowed to travel between worlds, throughout the multiverse until you land in the right world, at the right place, at the right time.
You can fix everything before it even begins.
Wouldn't you do whatever it takes to get there? Would you allow the search through time and space to stop you from reaching it? And tell me this.
If you are given another chance to prove yourself, wouldn't you take the chance?
Well, let's say I did. I didn't let anything stop me from reaching it.
Nothing.
But the question remains.
Did I complete my one objective, or did I fail another Earth like I failed my own?
