I wrote this poem when a tragedy happened in the little town where I live. Three teenagers were killed in a car accident. I had heard of them and had even gone to school with two of them, but I didn't really know them. I watched as parts of the world around me morned the loss of those kids, but I felt so distant from it all. This poem is about that distant feeling.
