Welcome to planet Neobadia. Ethan and Killarla are running for their lives from the Headhunters on a bitter cold planet, where only Nectar could keep them warm enough. The lifeblood of the creatures of Neobadia. 
        It is not just the Headhunters, but there is an intelligent lifeform lurking beneath the ice, watching their every move. The monster of a worm breaks through solid ice, looking for a meal.
	When Killarla goes missing with a bounty on her head, the Headhunters are the first to be blamed for her disappearance. Ethan has to face his wickedest fear and enters the Headhunter guild to find his beloved, not knowing a war is on the brink.
	Survival on this dystopian planet is below zero when the protagonist Alek comes onto the stage; the leader who unites the Revolters standing against the Headhunters tyranny, who murdered his race in a science lab. 
         Alek must persevere to save Neobadia with his special organ, like a second heart, which is pumping green Nectar through his veins. Giving him the edge on the coldest planet ever inhabited.

The first bucket list item: going to one of Portland's psychedelic centers together and taking Vivectica ™, a potent psychedelic drug (synthesized by none other than Nakomi) that has become a popular form psyche-therapy. Izzy reluctantly agrees, and when she encounters a hyper-intelligent reptilian entity on her trip, she can't convince herself that he wasn't real. The days are ticking down until her trip, but Izzy, becoming obsessed with the creature, can't get over her feelings that either 1) she's given herself drug-induced psychosis right before her journey to the red planet, or 2) there's something out there, something beyond space... This novel is a wacky trip with some sprinklings of HORTON HEARS A WHO and ANT-MAN, along with lots of palatable metaphysics. ***This is my entry for the 2022 Open Novella Contest.
