Lea goes to school, has friends, gets good grades, and laughs all the time.

But it is far from the truth. Her life has been awful since she could remember. Her father was abusive to her and her mother. He mother would try and leave with Lea and her brother all the time, but they were always found. She would go to school with cuts and bruises. She would do her best to cover them up since she was in first grade. 

Then one night her dad came home out of control. He was drunk and angry. He was going to kill Lea. He had a large kitchen knife and he had beaten her to thhe point of no return. He was about to cut deep into her throat when her mom got in the way. She fell  on the floor next to Lea. Her brother cried and screamed from where he was locked in a room. She told Lea with her last breath to run.

Lea hadn't gotten away, but her brother had, carrying only a bat.All Rights Reserved
