Despite being considered a lone wolf, Tashi, a well known traveller in the online world, seeks a companion, someone to assist and befriend him on his journeys. That's when he meets Ember, a young adult who's often lived feeling like an outcast due to a mysterious upbringing. Between these two, a bond forms, one, that as they travel across their home island, blossoms into something grander.
An Unusual Bond takes place on a fictional island set on the ocean between Norway and Scotland, almost fully taken up by mountains. With this environment comes a culture mixed of old and new. Elements of present day are there, but so are aspects of the distant past, either in forms of transport, or the clothing people wear.
