That's when everything in your brain halted.
Where did I come from?
You racked your brain for any sort of answer. You looked at Ilia with panicked eyes.
"I- I don't remember." You spoke urgently, fear coursing through your body as you tried so hard to remember something, anything!
You woke up in a strange village, surrounded by faces you didn't recognize. You had no memory and no idea why a town of strangers would be so nice to you, especially a young man named Link. He tells you he'll take you with him to castle town to find out who you are. However, darkness is slowly taking over the kingdom, Link has a destiny to follow and you have been chosen to aid the hero in his journey.
There is one thing though that stands in your way, and recovering your memory. Your best friend and the Usurper King, Zant. He has made it his life goal to give you everything because you ARE his everything, so he makes the hardest decision he has ever had to make, and takes your memories. He drapes a veil over your eyes to keep you from seeing his wrongs...
THIS IS NOT MY STORY!!! This is a re-write from an old story that was finished in 2018. I took great inspiration from the story and it will follow closely to the original. It won't be exact since it's a different writer and writing style.
Strong language and graphic scenes will be used in this story. Viewer digression is advised. If you are uncomfortable with any of this, please don't read!

The plot of the game is made my Nintendo. All characters that belong in the Zelda franchise is owned by Nintendo. I am a HUGE Zelda nerd and Twilight Princess is my favorite game. The Legend of Zelda: Return of the Twilight: Part One
So this is a sequel I made up for Twilight Princess. It has a character that I have created named Meena. She's based off of me :) She is the daughter of Lord Ganondorf by the way! I do not own The Legend of Zelda. It belongs to Nintendo. So Meena is sent out to kill Link on her 15th birthday. But when she runs into him, she can't kill him. Link and Meena soon become friends and face many foes together. But soon Link discovers she's half-demon half-Hylian. But twilight reappears and Link and Meena become wolves and see Midna who's cursed again. But she's with her best friend Victoria who is related to Zant in some way. Soon Meena discovers something. That she and Link are connected. These four friends set out on a quest to free Hyrule from twilight once again. But there will be betrayal. But there'll also be a bit of romance along the way. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. "He's the deadliest swordsman in all of Hyrule. The most skilled. He wields a blade of legend. You should be protecting me from him." By the time those words were uttered, it was already too late. The princess kept a wary eye on the half-eaten apple that he had set back down on his bedside writing desk. He seemed oblivious to the twisted symbolism of it all. Forbidden fruit. The poisoned apples of the fairytales that their governess read to them as children. Could he really be so blind? The people rejoiced in the streets of Castle Town. They made gracious offerings in the plowing fields of the southern provinces, nestled against the far stretches of Faron Woods. The Kingdom of Hyrule celebrated the newfound peace after the plight of the Twili, and the final death of Ganondorf. They looked to the skies and they saw a god. He became a vessel for their torment. He grieved for them. He carried their burden on his shoulders. The weight of that weapon, of which had singed its mark deeply into the palm of his hand, would never leave him. The hushed voices of the scorned spirits resonated within the blade, their whispers lilting and lamenting in his ears. Those damned voices dissipated everytime that seraph prince held him in his soft gaze.

Hyrule is threatened once again by Zant and Ganondorf, newly crowned, Queen Zelda is on the verge of surrender, and Link, the hero from Ordon Village is called for aid. Upon arriving at Castle Town, Link is immediately overwhelmed by the forces of monsters that have forced the townsfolk into hiding. He realizes that he will not defeat Hyrule's foes without help so he sets off for Kakariko Village to find allies. Y/n, a girl who lives in Kakariko Village was not well accepted in the village. You are an outsider, no one knows where you came from. Protecting those around you became something you dedicated yourself to. You trained yourself to fight in the graveyard for days until your body gave out and you'd start again. One day, Link finds you battling a lone goblin that has infiltrated the village by yourself. Impressed by your natural skill, he brings you along to gather more allies from all other villages. The more time the two of you spend with each other, you both slowly fall in love, then your deepest secret is revealed. *All character and village names go to Nintendo*

Blighted Memories
Amnesia was a funny thing. It strips you of all memories, both good and bad. But what it didn't take away from Link was his caring heart. He wasn't a man who had time to deal with or worry about things like memories anyway. All he cared about was doing what was right. But just because Link had no memories, or any interest to reclaim them, didn't mean they wouldn't return to haunt him. Ever since Link woke up, strange things have been happening around the land. Horrific creatures, not quite monster and not quite human, begin appearing at night to terrorize the denizens of Hyrule. Link, not one to simply let such evils do as they please, decides to investigate into the matter as he travels across the land to find a way to destroy these creatures. It should've been just another job for him, just a problem the people needed solved, just another errand for the incarnation of Hylia's hero. But as he investigates, he is haunted by his past. Link's mind cannot remember what happened. But his heart did. He still feels what he lost, what he failed to protect, even after one hundred years. That's what draws something toward Link, the very same evil that created the creatures he faces. It follows and watches him from the shadows, taunting him, waiting for him to remember the past he's forgotten, waiting for the pain to resurface, waiting for the time he can no longer carry the weight of it all. As he journeys on his quest to defeat Ganon and save Princess Zelda, Link must learn to contend with another ancient evil that taints the land, all while facing the ghosts of his forgotten past. Written in Blood . {After OoT/MM fic} Hyrule is on the brink of another bloody war when he returns, the hero that had slipped away to be forgotten by the land. No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget. But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer. Both Link and Zelda find themselves in the middle of this war, forced to fight and strategize and deal with their own inner demons as well as each other, amidst the war the Hylians fight to regain their land and defeat the King of Thieves. > < .
