The Opposite of Faith is Flesh
Faith is not merely a doctrine or a moral ideal. It is life itself. Faith is the pulse of the soul that beats in alignment with God's will. It sees the unseen, believes the promises of heaven, and pleases God in every thought, choice, and posture. Hebrews 11:6 declares it unambiguously: "Without faith it is impossible to please Him." Faith is the substance of hope, the anchor of eternity, the power that overcomes the world.
The opposite of faith is not a neutral or undecided stance. Scripture makes this crystal clear. Romans 8:8 warns: "Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." Faith pleases God. Flesh cannot. There is no middle ground, no spiritual fence where one can stand comfortably between trust and self-reliance. You are either living by faith, depending wholly on God, or you are living by the flesh, depending on your own strength, wisdom, or resources.
In this book Adekola Timothy Adebiyi explains it all. Take your time to read and receive the benefits of a life of faith.
