Marked by fate and flame, Stark is a rare piebald Night Fury, born under the shadow of extinction. When Grimmel begins his brutal campaign to wipe out her species and their kin, Stark narrowly escapes, becoming the hunted in a world that offers no mercy.

Dagur, once a dragon hunter, sees in her the same rage and fear he once wore like armor. He doesn't try to tame her-only to prove that he's not the man he used to be. Valka, wise and battle-scarred, offers a gentler touch. She teaches Stark that survival isn't the same as living, and that being alone isn't the only way to be free.

But when peace finally comes, Stark realizes that survival isn't enough.
She wants more.
She wants freedom.
