Moving into his brother's old apartment was never Vedant Malhotra's choice. Neither was meeting Shoumili Banerjee, the girl upstairs, who looked at him as if his very existence offended her. Sharp-tongued, guarded and impossible to understand, Shumi was exactly the kind of trouble Ved avoided. Except he needed her. To convince a stubborn music teacher for his sister's school and to help him organise an apartment that felt less abandoned and more... disturbed. So they made a deal which was supposed to be simple and temporary. But nothing about Shumi was ever simple. She went silent whenever his brother's name came up, dodged certain questions and carried a loneliness she refused to explain. The more she pushed him away, the deeper Ved found himself drawn to her. Then... She screamed... Ved found her trembling in the dark, clinging to him like he was the only thing keeping her alive. But Something watched from the shadows. Something that refused to let Shumi go. Ved instantly knew that loving her might cost him his sanity, and it might drag him straight into hell, but he wasn't going to walk away. He would fight. Fight till death do them part.

BOOK 1 : MAFIA ROMANCE #1stStory She swore to hate him- He swore to own her- "Marriage doesn't work like this," she hissed, breath shaky. His lips curved into a dark smile. "In my world, marriage works however I want. Either you marry me, or I'll ruin you first-and still make you mine." Her palm cracked across his cheek. "Shut up, bastard!" He stilled, slowly touching the sting she left behind. His eyes burned with something deadly-and hungry. "You shouldn't have done that," he whispered. "Now you'll never get rid of me." She stumbled back to the window. "I'll jump! I'll end it here!" "Jump," he said smoothly, almost amused. "I'll catch you in the air. I'll follow you to hell if I have to. Baby, you don't escape me-not in this life, not the next." Her body trembled on the ledge. "I'm serious." He moved behind her, wrapping her waist in a bruising grip. His breath scorched her skin as his mouth pressed cagainst her neck. "So am I. If you jump, I'll fall with you. Heaven, hell, doesn't matter-" his lips dragged along her throat, possessive and cruel, "-you'll still be mine before we hit the ground." ♧•°●●°•♧ #1 femaledoctor #1 intenseromance #1 loveandpower #1 Indian setting #1 Citylife #1 Craziness
