Bit has been on the streets of Night City since he was very young. Escaping from the Tyger Claws with his strange abilities, now he does his best to get by while dealing with intense chronic pain. Sensing a very bad pain day, Bit follows his mysterious instincts to a spot that rings with promised safety.
Little does he know that this decision would change the course of his life forever. safety, comfort, treatment, self doubt, danger, and maybe even love are laid bare.

This takes place in a slightly different version of the Cyberpunk 2077 world. With all the tech and augmentation, is anyone really surprised that humans aren't the only things kicking around? Elves, orcs, minotaurs, dragons, and more roam the streets of Night City alongside humans. Hybrids are common, but human hybrids are rare. This is thanks to the fact that humans are either incompatible or hyper compatible with other species. Meaning that when humans mate with someone from another species they either won't be able to have children, or the children will either be human or their other parent's species. So human hybrids are stupid rare.

The world we live in is full of mixed species. There no longer is just human, witch, werewolf, vampires, elves, Fae, dragons etc. We are all hybrids of some mixture. We all live together mixed in clans, packs, covens etc. Most find mates or their beloved depending on their beliefs. Some never do. Overall we have been living together peacefully. Until recently some have decided they are better and stronger than others. Fae, elves and human hybrids have been Targeted. There is also a legend that says a strong magical Fae hybrid wielding hidden powers will be the clue to solving who is behind the attacks. This is a MxM book. Rumours have it that when beasts sleep with humans, they create a creature known as a mutant-a hybrid of some monstrous sort, not quite monster but not quite human either, rather a mix of both. Anyone cursed with the misfortune of being born a mutant would face the worst treatment society had to offer; daily judgment, comments, abuse that is both physical and mental, and overall being outcast from society for all of their miserable, little life. And if you found yourself not being outcast into the wild, then you would be caught and experimented on. Those who, by some miracle, managed to escape would forever be on the run or hunted until they were either brought back for further testing or killed.Complete

It is definitely cringey because I'm bad at dialogue, and the running gag of the story is that I will use every conceivable romantic trope.
