Bit has been on the streets of Night City since he was very young. Escaping from the Tyger Claws with his strange abilities, now he does his best to get by while dealing with intense chronic pain. This takes place in a slightly different version of the Cyberpunk 2077 world. With all the tech and augmentation, is anyone really surprised that humans aren't the only things kicking around? Elves, orcs, minotaurs, dragons, and more roam the streets of Night City alongside humans. Hybrids are common, but human hybrids are rare. This is thanks to the fact that humans are either incompatible or hyper compatible with other species. Meaning that when humans mate with someone from another species they either won't be able to have children, or the children will either be human or their other parent's species. So human hybrids are stupid rare.
