Sennos Nagasaki a half Filipino and half Japanese is a man with a tragic past; both of his parents died when he was a child. His Auntie took on the responsibility of raising him, but she was always busy being a scientist, so he was often alone and had no friends. One day, Sennos wanted to celebrate his birthday with his Auntie, but she didn't come. He waited until he fell asleep, and he woke up to a loud sound of knocking on the door. When he looked through the peephole, he saw a man covered in blood, banging his head on the front door. He was terrified, which made him feel helpless, so he knelt on the floor, accepting his fate. Suddenly, he heard a loud group of people outside the door. When he opened the peephole, he saw his classmates, terrified for their lives but managing to kill the man at the door. There were so many questions in his head, and then he opened the door and asked his classmates what was happening outside, it turns out that the world is in the aftermath of a global pandemic. A deadly virus has transformed the majority of the world's population into flesh-eating zombies. As time goes by, they created a bond and all became friends and one day, they heard a man's voice on the radio saying there's a safe zone near Manila. The voice vanished, leaving their hearts trembling with excitement and full of hope. So Sennos and his friends decided to fight the zombies to find a way to locate the safe zone, hoping their loved ones are safe and alive. Each of them has unique skills and motivation to find a way to survive in this new, terrifying world... A question is did they manage to survive?

The Virus Within (Original rough draft) by CrystalScherer

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Definitely not a horror story, although it has its share of action. 4 updates a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday! Copyright April 2017. All Rights Reserved. It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice. Warning: Contains sex, some violence, occasional foul language, and adult issues. Genre: Science Fiction, Romance, Post-apocalyptic, Dark romance Length: 84,468 words This book has been published on Amazon. The first ten chapters will be updated to what you get in the published novel and will remain here, so you can try before you buy.
A Different Virus - Laura's Story by CrystalScherer

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. The cover was made by @All_AboutAssymetry. A huge thanks to her! Copyright September 2016. All Rights Reserved. Readers may not copy, alter, or steal this story. Z Diaries by ElaraEsmeray
6 parts Ongoing
A virus spread throughout the whole world without anyone realizing until it was too late. People were turning into zombies, flesh-eating human corpses. The government desperate for salvation opened its hidden bunkers. Some fled to other countries for a higher chance of safety. Some died on the way to those said bunkers. Some turned to those creatures they were running from. Those who are lucky and rich enough to enter the bunkers are now momentarily safe and hidden wherever those bunkers are. But it's only a matter of time before those bunkers break. While many were left outside, fighting for their lives and trying to survive, they were sleeping in comfort inside those metal havens. Unbeknownst to those who were safely enjoying themselves inside, there was something more outside, waiting for the bunkers to open. Ziya, who wanted to find her sisters, started to travel. At first, she was alone until a few people found her and became her companions while traveling the dangerous highways. How they manage to trust her despite being aloof, she doesn't know. But they knew she was a great help to them. With her unnatural instinct and calmness while fighting the zombies despite being half blind she was pretty useful to let her go. They kept asking other questions but eventually stopped when they realised they won't receive answers anytime soon. They were just letting her join them because she's useful and they felt guilty leaving her alone. To her defense, she doesn't trust them, and she doesn't want them to trust her. She thinks they're a bit stupid for letting her join but staying quiet about it. She just wanted to stay alive and find her sisters. And she just needs to keep her own secrets and lengthen her patience. •Cover edited by me. •Photo of Sofia Isella from Pinterest.

REVISED EDITION COMING OUT MONTHLY/COMPLETED In a world overrun by zombies, A single bite heralds doom - except for Kaindra, who defies death itself, being undead already. ******** As humanity struggles to adapt to the new reality of zombies-infested streets and lurking supernatural creatures from ancient myths and legends, survival becomes an ever-evolving challenge. Survival is a constant battle not only against the undead but also against supernatural creatures and their zealous followers. The relentless onslaught of zombies and the mysterious reemergence of mythical beings push society to its limits. Civilization's last bastions fall one by one, teetering on the brink of collapse. As these ancient myths awaken, they reveal intentions that are far from clear- some may hold the key to salvation, while others could herald further doom. The question remains: Can humanity unravel the mysteries of these legendary beings in time to save themselves, or will they fall prey to the very legends they once dismissed? ___ Excerpt: Taking a deep breath, I lean closer to the mirror, my skin prickling. I thought it was a trick of the light, but as I stare at my reflection, my fragile lies crumble away. The reflection staring back at me feels unrecognizable. My once deep, dark brown eyes now glimmer with an otherworldly light, like twin moons suspended in a sea of silver. The faint glow within them swirls softly, catching the dim flicker of flame I summoned, like ripples across a moonlit lake. Their alien intensity sends a chill down my spine. The orbs seemed to hold a universe within, depths of endless mysteries and ancient wisdom beyond my grasp. ___ Warning: Mentions of suicide and self-harm Beautiful cover made by @scmimi. PESTE (Plague) by _chapotato
32 parts Complete
A Modern Filipino Zombie Outbreak Novel The disease doesn't care about traffic. The infection doesn't distinguish between privilege and poverty. In a country built on chaos, a hyper-aggressive plague turns Bayanihan into brutal survival. The end of the world begins with a simple, frantic touch. It's called the Pindot Plague-a fast-acting, rage-inducing virus that strips the infected of their humanity, turning them into lightning-fast predators known as the Naka-Pindot. And it's spreading like wildfire across Metro Manila. Caught between the initial gridlock of EDSA and the concrete jungle of Quezon City is a diverse barkada (friend group) of eight teenagers. They aren't soldiers, heroes, or experts-they are just high school seniors with fragmented knowledge and deep-seated loyalties. There's Marvin, the meticulous strategist whose medical ambition is now a terrifying reality. Lia, the pragmatic nursing student who struggles to treat wounds she barely understands. Jelo, the tech-savvy gamer whose only viable weapon is his ability to bypass the city's failed systems. And Samira, the street-smart survivor who knows how to navigate the city's hidden alleys better than any map. As their safe havens fall one by one-from abandoned malls to high-rise condos-the barkada must make a desperate trek across Luzon toward an rumored evacuation point. They face not only the unrelenting hordes of the Naka-Pindot, but the brutal realities of a society that has instantly devolved: corrupt officials, desperate looters, and the constant threat of disinformation spreading faster than the plague itself. In a world where the only rule is to survive, their greatest struggle won't be against the monsters outside, but against the erosion of trust, hope, and their own humanity within the group. In the chaos of Peste, the barkada will learn that the true Filipino horror isn't the folklore of the past, but the impossible choices of the present.
