Maddie Lopez is an up and coming superstar at as the potential to dominate the women's division. Maddie got the called into her boss's Shaun Michaels office and she gets told that she will be in one of her favourite matches and one off the biggest matches in WWE, the royal rumble. The royal rumble didn't go the way Maddie wanted it to go as she gets replaced by someone who is returning, who is that someone? Alexa Bliss. After the royal rumble Maddie felt deflated but the Shaun tells her she is getting a main roster push with the Judgment day. Maddie replaces Raquel Rodriguez as the other half of the women's tag champ. Mean while Alexa finally joins with the Wyatts and Alex and Nikki go aft the tag titles meaning that Alexa's and Maddie's paths will cross again. Will Maddie's grudge against Alexa affect the storyline and the ability to work with Alexa, or can Maddie forgive Alexa and have the best rivalry with Alexa and maybe more?..

Once Hendrix was old enough Alexa thought it would be time to return to work. After months of anticipation Alexa finally joins the Wyatt's and goes for the Tag title with her good friend Nikki. This means Alexa has to work with Maddie who blames Alexa for taking her spot at the royal rumble. This make it very hard to work with her. But as time goes on they start warming up to each other.
