Two boys in love in the small town of hawkins.
They were soulmates though everything was against their relationship, homosexuality was looked down upon.
Mike's father had explained it was a sin, and while Mike wasnt Christian, he didn't want to be looked down upon for his sexuality, he knew he felt different things for will than his own girlfriend jane.
Mike hid his feelings and worked hard to ignore will.
Will always knew he was different, he always knew he had a thing for mie though he "knew" deep down mike was only into women, he made that painfully obvious as mike ditched the party to see jane all summer.
Will had to move away, Mike thought it would help him get rid of his feelings but he couldnt resist calling the boy every single day. The calls never went through..
Fate wasnt on their side, they took fate into their own hands.

March 30th, 1986. The day after the events of season 4. Will and Mike arrive back in Hawkins. Home. But home isn't the same anymore. Hawkins, their once beloved town, now looks more like an apocalyptic disaster. The two boys know it's them and the party who needs to save the town. However, this task proves to be difficult when new feelings emerge. Will, the kind, soft and self-sacrificial cleric, who is hopelessly devoted to his so called unrequited crush. And Mike, the loyal but sometimes rude, leader of the party, who's struggling with new emotions he doesn't know how to handle. How will they save the town? But most importantly, how is will going to be able to share a room with Mike, his life long best friend and crush? After months of sent letters and no reply, Will decides to try and move on. By doing this a new person grabs his attention meaning Mike is slowly leaving his thoughts. When Mike starts to notice wills lack of letters and lack of constant phone calls, he decides to take a trip to California to see what's going on. How will this turn out? Will the two friends get on? Or will the whole trip be filled with jealousy? And this time, not from will.
