Two boys in love in the small town of hawkins. They were soulmates though everything was against their relationship, homosexuality was looked down upon. Mike's father had explained it was a sin, and while Mike wasnt Christian, he didn't want to be looked down upon for his sexuality, he knew he felt different things for will than his own girlfriend jane. Mike hid his feelings and worked hard to ignore will. Will always knew he was different, he always knew he had a thing for mie though he "knew" deep down mike was only into women, he made that painfully obvious as mike ditched the party to see jane all summer. Will had to move away, Mike thought it would help him get rid of his feelings but he couldnt resist calling the boy every single day. The calls never went through.. Fate wasnt on their side, they took fate into their own hands.

When Mike goes to California to surprise Will and El for spring break he instead discovers things about himself. As a teenager the struggle between love and friendship is so hard to find. Especially if your true love is your best friend... Contains some language, homophobic language in the chapter "bad dreams again" (This story takes place with no vecnea in Hawkins or need for El to have powers.)
