In the sterile confines of a hospital ward, two teenagers, Ichigo Hado and Yuki Sado, cross paths after each faces a harrowing suicide attempt, their lives marked by private pain. Ichigo, a melancholic and isolated high school student, has long endured the sting of relentless bullying, his true self shrouded behind a facade he's never dared to unveil. Yuki, by contrast, is a popular figure at school, her kindness and charm masking a deep-seated self-consciousness that drives her to obsess over her appearance, often starving herself to meet an unattainable ideal. Beneath her bright exterior, only a select few glimpse the warmth and vulnerability she guards closely.
