Shelby finds herself trapped in a department store during the zombie apocalypse. She thinks she is the only survivor left until she finds a group and tries to help them to earn her place in that group. Shelby has been struggling with life ever since she was little and losing her brother made her feel like she was about to go over the edge. Will her knew found friends be a good influence and help her thourgh it or will they ditch her first chance they get.

A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. She lived in Atlanta with her childhood friend, Glenn, and had never once left the city after she had moved there, apart from the occasional visit to see her Mother, whom was hospitalised in another state. However, the end of the world changed that, forcing her to leave the city and wander the highway. Permanently. When the city was overrun, she was separated from Glenn and forced to flee the city, which she hadn't left for years. With no idea where to go or what to do, she simply wandered down the highway. And though she may have been a city kid, she was far from useless. She was used to fighting for her life and she was used to being alone, so to say the very least, she could handle whatever the end of the world threw at her. Equipped with her trusted bow, Lucy, and her fathers vintage revolver, she was ready for anything. Dead or otherwise. A few months after the 'End', Y/n eventually came across a lost little girl, and a group of survivors hurled up on a farm. She never was a people person and never got along too well with others, but she couldn't just abandon the girl. Would she find a home in this group? Would they become family? Or was she doomed to wander alone? Would she ever reunite with Glenn? Her family? And would she and a certain redneck ever get along? UPDATES: DAILY. Daryl Dixon is completely on his own. After the Saviors burn down Alexandria, he thinks that he is the only survivor. Living without the group that he has come to love, has left him as nothing more than a shell of the man he used to be. One day after a brutal fight, he stumbles upon a run-down shack in the woods. As he lay dying on the dirty floor, his life is saved by a complete stranger. These two loners find that living life together is so much better than doing it alone. I haven't written a story in the first person since Broken. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I enjoyed the challenge. This story has taken me months to write and I finished it just days after the Season 8 midseason finale. Any similarities to that episode are pure coincidence. I wrote the chapter (You'll know which one) months before Season8 even started. For anyone that is newly following me or reading my books, I write differently than most. Holding out in a hospital after leaving his house he finds comatose Rick Grimes and decides to stay and make sure Rick is taken care of. Shortly after Rick awakes, they run into Morgan and Duane Jones. Over the course of the 11 years of a normal life, Ford had he had been reported missing nearly 13 times and ran away from home, the longest span of time being 3 weeks, nearly a month. He's been out hunting with both his brothers. Normally hiding away in the woods until his brothers found him.
