Like donkeys and elephants

Robert Mitchell is a young video game programmer, originally from a small town in rural Alabama, but who has been living in sunny Los Angeles for years, where he moved when he came of age to escape the deep squalor and misery that characterized his childhood.
Involved in a catastrophic plane crash while returning from a trip to Sydney, he ends up shipwrecked on an uninhabited island, lost in the Kiribati archipelago. A simple patch of land, lost in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
However, despite his initial fears, Robert is not really alone.
The only other survivor of the disaster is Victoria Blackwood, a beautiful and charming woman who is also the living antithesis of her companion in misfortune. An ambitious Republican politician and congressional candidate for the state of Montana, she seems the least suitable person in the world to live with someone like Robert, who, after some traumatic experiences in his past, has developed a deep contempt for everything related to conservative ideals.
Forced by circumstances to work together, waiting for help that seems increasingly unlikely as the days go by, the two soon find themselves fighting against creeping hunger and numerous other challenges, while their constant and heated verbal clashes gradually wear down both their sanity.
Will they manage to save themselves before their mutual hatred brings to completion what death left unfinished?
