Every year, on the eve of the Fire Lantern Festival, students at Elarose Academy write anonymous letters and drop them in the "Lantern Box" to be delivered with a floating lantern. It's a tradition meant to honor lost loved ones or secret wishes.

Seventeen-year-old Liora Mae, a quiet painter with a haunted past, starts receiving beautifully written letters each month - not just during the festival - signed only:
"The Lantern Boy."

The letters are deeply personal, filled with poetry, thoughts on life, and references to things no one should know about her - especially things she's never told anyone.

Determined to uncover who he is, Liora starts following the clues in the letters. Along the way, she finds herself growing closer to three very different boys:

Ari - the golden boy with a broken smile,

Rowan - the quiet musician with shadows in his eyes,

Kai - the witty troublemaker who sees through her walls.

Each has a secret.
One is the Lantern Boy.
One is hiding something darker.
One will break her heart.

But when the final letter reveals a painful truth tied to her past, Liora must decide:
Is knowing who the Lantern Boy is worth the cost?

First book 🏒. Starting college was supposed to be Violet Vale's escape plan. New country. New city. New campus. And then there's Ethan Maddox-tattoos inked like warnings, that infuriating smirk, and a six-foot-five presence that fills every room like he owns it. Her brother's best friend. Her worst enemy. And now? Her accidental shadow at Northbridge University. Violet's spent years trading insults and eye-rolls with Ethan, ever since he became an honorary part of her family. But there's nothing brotherly about the way he looks at her now-or the way her pulse reacts when he calls her Vi like it's some kind of challenge. He's cocky. Infuriating. One year older. And the only person on campus who makes her feel anything at all. They're not friends. Definitely not something more. But the line between hate and something far messier is starting to blur. And when hearts get tangled... Someone's going to fall. Warning: May contain profanity and sexual content.
