My First Story...
Please don't judge.
She stepped closer as he stood there, glaring at her.
"Just say that you don't feel anything for me, and I'll back off. I promise I'll never come in front of you again," she said softly - her voice trembling, but her eyes determined.
He clenched his fists, trying hard to control the storm inside him.
To not pull her into his arms and hold her tight... and never let go.
"I told you this should never happen again. Why don't you understand?" he snapped - more at himself than at her.
"Because I can't neglect you!" she yelled, her voice cracking with pain.
"I can't neglect me...
I can't neglect us...
I can't ignore my feelings - our feelings," she whispered, overwhelmed by the flood of emotions crashing through her.
And that broke his walls.
Without thinking, he pulled her to him - closing the space between them in one breathless moment.
"But I'm your professor... and you're my student," he whispered, feeling the sting behind his eyes.
"I'm way too old for you." His voice trembled with the weight of guilt and fear.
"I don't care!" she shouted, frustrated and fierce.
"I just love you - can't you understand that? I want you in my life."
Her confession froze him.
And then...
"No. It's not possible," he said quietly.
He gently pushed her back and walked away, leaving her standing there with a sinking heart.
But she didn't waver.
"I won't let you give up on us," she whispered with unwavering determination.
