The Forgotten Flame

No one noticed at first.

Mk had always been impulsive, always the type to run headfirst into chaos with a laugh and a promise to be back before dinner. So when he disappeared, the city assumed it was for another quest. Another "hero thing." Even his closest friends - Mei, Tang, Pigsy, Sandy, Moneky King(and Macaque)- tried to believe that.

But the days stretched into weeks.
Then months.
Then years.
Three and a half long years.

Wukong shouldered the weight of defending the city and fighting demons alone, hiding the growing worry behind lazy smiles and tired eyes. Mei trained harder. Redson... grew quieter. He would never admit it, but there were nights he stared into his fire, heart twisted in confusion and frustration. Mk was his rival. His irritation. His... something. But *why did it hurt this much to know he was gone?*

None of them knew.
None of them suspected.
That Mk hadn't just vanished.

He had gone to the Realm of Souls.
A lush, isolated mountain realm where time flowed gently, unbothered by war, duty, or destiny. Where the wind whispered through sacred trees. Where celestial energies wove through the jungle floor like veins of starlight.
