PROLOGUE
Mainit ang hangin sa loob ng silid, pero mas mainit ang titig niya.
"Kill me," bulong ni Luca, nakasandal sa malamig na pader habang nakatukod ang isang kamay niya sa balikat ko, hinaharangan ang daan ko. Ang mga mata niya, dilim at apoy, parang sinasadyang hinahamon ako. "Come on, Alina. Do it."
Nanginginig ang daliri ko sa hawak ng kutsilyo. Isang iglap lang... isang hakbang, isang tulak... tapos na ang lahat. Pero bakit parang mas mahirap siyang patayin kaysa sa kahit sinong target ko? Bakit parang mas gusto ko pa siyang halikan kaysa saksakin?
Lumapit siya. Ang labi niya halos dumampi sa akin, mabango, mainit, nakakalason.
"Kiss me..." anas niya, parang nag-uutos. "...then kill me."
At doon ko lang narealize-sa laban na 'to, hindi bala o talim ang pinakamapanganib na armas. Kundi siya.
