He was going to die in an alley that stank of blood and piss and rust. With a knife pinning his hand to the pavement and his leg slashed open and Native crumpled nearby, breathing shallow and uneven. If he was breathing at all.
He had come here to avenge his brother. To prove he was worthy of the name Ingenium. To make Stain pay for disabling the greatest person he'd ever known-a true hero, selfless and unshakable and good.
And instead, he was going to die nameless. Pinned like garbage in a filthy side street. Manual didn't know where he was. There was no backup. No emergency alert. He hadn't even been missed yet.
He wasn't going to save anyone. He wasn't going to die with honor. He wasn't going to die remembered.

Her mother died during child birth so she went foster home to home, until she was taken to Japan for experiments and a qurik controlling facility. When she turned 18 she got out, but she spent almost her whole life in there so she decided to try out for UA High School, even though she's too old for school, she wants to be a pro hero... She has control over her quriks somewhat, so why not just try and use it to help others rather than hurt them?! Right? But will it go as well as she hopes? Deku got tired of hiding all of his emotions under a mask. Tired of keeping a smile on his face despite being constantly beaten up and ridiculed. He's saved two little kids from big time villains, defeated Hero Killer Stain, and survived two villain attacks in only his first year at UA, the top hero school in the country. You wouldn't expect him to have three part-time jobs, an impossibly sick mother, and to live in a dingy gang infested neighborhood, working himself to the bone just for dinner. You wouldn't expect him to make money by doing street performances with a break dancing group, or winning bets with the many gangs in the neighborhood. You certainly wouldn't expect the hero-in-training to commit petty theft to provide for the four other poor families that live on his street. But it's all true. He lives in a poor neighborhood where no one has a decent job and there isn't a single hero, not even an underground one. The kids there have only been to the city once or twice, and none of them have parents. One girl does, and was left there willingly. They regularly have to fight off the vermin trying to take their food, and consider a single dollar a fortune. This is Izuku's home. and, if his teacher doesn't find out what's going on soon and save him, it may be his deathbed.
