Leila Evans has always wanted to act. She's headed to theater school in the fall, and someday she's sure she'll be a Broadway star. Despite her love for the stage, she's never had the urge to act in a movie. But when she learns her high school theater teacher is taking her senior class to Hollywood for two weeks in the summer, Leila lets her best friend Clara talk her into going. And when they get there, she lets her theater teacher convince her to go to an audition. And when she gets the part, she decides she's never letting anybody convince her of anything ever again, even her would-be co-star, Isaac.

Isaac Warner has grown up famous, thanks to his movie star father, Thaddeus Warner. When he graduates high school, nobody is surprised that he is jumping right into his first movie role. Acting is in Isaac's blood, and he's always loved it. And Faking It is the perfect movie for him to prove his skill. Everything is going as planned. But what he never planned for is a costar like Leila Evans.
