The Two Roses - Book 1
England, 1450. King Henry VI has been on the throne for almost thirty years, and has failed to live up to the legacy of his father, Henry V, the victor of Agincourt. His early reign was dominated by two uncles, the Duke of Gloucester and Bishop of Winchester, who were constantly working to overrule each other. Against Gloucester's wishes, a peace was brokered with France in 1445, and King Henry was wedded to the French King's niece, Margaret. Gloucester and Winchester are now dead, replaced as chief minister by the allied Dukes of Suffolk and Somerset. The English province of Normandy has fallen to the French and Suffolk, has taken the blame. With the threat of unrest in the kingdom, Suffolk is sent into exile on the continent. But the common people are determined not to be cheated out of justice... Updates will come, but may be slow going. This book is the first in a planned three-part series about the Wars of the Roses, what I'm provisionally calling 'York and Lancaster'. To be perfectly honest, I wrote this mainly for myself, so if you do end up reading and enjoying it, let me know. I have tried to keep the narrative as neutral as possible. If multiple characters have the same name, then the one who appeared second is likely the son of the former (e.g. after Thomas Courtenay, 5th Earl of Devon, died in 1458, his son, also called Thomas, became 6th Earl of Devon). Characters with titles will be referred to by their title (e.g. 'Henry Holland, Duke of Exeter' will be referred to as 'Exeter'.
The White Rose
Before the time of King Henry 8th and Queen Elizabeth 1st, times were much simpler back then. In the year of 1455, the biggest war in history raged through England and would be known as the War of the Roses. This was also a strained period of one particular young girl's life, which would change her world as she knew it. Her name was Lady Rosalie Catherine Howard, the daughter of Thomas Howard, the Duke of Norfolk. During the war, Thomas had sided with the Yorks and helped their side win the throne of England. As a result, he promised his only daughter's hand in marriage to the eldest York brother, who would now be King of England, Edward IV. Little did anyone know, these two star-crossed lovers were meant to be together and they would be the ones to bring peace, joy, happiness, harmony, and prosperity to England for years to come.Complete

It's really no secret, that France and England are no good friends. But what about their Capital cities? Since England and France are not at war anymore, doesn't that mean the two female Capitals can finally put an end to their unending fights where both are hurt? Saying bitter words and hitting each other is not an adult way of handling their feelings. There must be a way, where they finally can be something more like allies. Maybe even Friends? but how when all they do is bullying each other? [ I don't own Hetalia. Of course not. I just made an OC for London and searched for a Paris character and put them here. I put a lot of work in my writings as well as I worked very hard on my London character and hope you like it. Please know, that I don't mind other Hetalia ships.
