Halfway to a Hundred

Timber and her family are entering the dry season early this year, which means battening down the window covers to keep out the harsh sandstorms and stocking up on food and water. Timber just braces for a long, hot few months inside her dark home, until a few days in, her little sister finds her way out of the house and into the storm. And without thinking of the consequences, Timber goes after her.

Timber endures exhaustion and illness, betrayal and loneliness, and everything in between as she wanders the hot deserts in search of her sister and eventually her home, one little girl in the middle of a situation tougher than any she's ever imagined.
