Jack, as always, was bubbly and warm, his golden eyes too kind for someone so powerful. But as they talked, something shifted. It wasn't the prayer or the rescue that stayed with him-it was her. Her sharp wit. Her quiet strength. The way she brushed off gratitude like it made her itchy.
Maya didn't have time for mysteries or men with too-perfect hair. She had a job. A family. A packed schedule. Two needy cats. And the kind of guarded heart that didn't open easily. But Jack couldn't get her out of his mind. And the more he thought about her, the more he needed to see her again.
Now, the Almighty God of the Universe is trying to navigate text messages, cat hair, and human feelings-without revealing who he actually is.
