During the Great Crusade, the Emperor of Mankind reclaimed his Primarch sons one by one-living embodiments of conquest forged to unite the galaxy beneath the Imperium of Man.

Ravaged by greed they invaded the isolated Principality, seeking to dethrone the Princess and putting her Regent into power, turning the vast continent in one giant vassal, with its minions doing the dirty work. In a last desperate move the Princess attempts to destroy any evidence of the Gate, a connection to two worlds, the black men's home world, but alas, this failed. Consequently, greed had its price and the Gate fell into hands of the Alliance. How will the other side fare and will peace return in this tyrannic world?

The Hearth-Door: A Primarch's Vow
In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, there was one Primarch who refused to hate. Baram, the Shield of Jotunheim, Primarch of the Ironhearts (Vth Legion), was a bulwark of impossible strength and devastating compassion. He wielded the Hearth-Door, a colossal shield meant to guard every single soul, believing the true strength of the Imperium lay not in its weapons, but in the people he protected. But when Horus betrayed the Emperor, Baram was thrust into a civil war that shattered his vow of unity. He was forced to fight the rage of Angron, confront the chilling logic of Guilliman, and face the ultimate failure: he could not save his brothers. An elderly scientist sits alone in his laboratory, his hands fiddling with the bracer-like device attached to his right forearm, a metallic bracelet of sorts with a multitude of buttons and switches covering its surface. In the center of the room was a large tube filled with a murky green liquid, contained inside was what appeared to be an infant child that floated in its center. The scientist flipped a switch on the device and began speaking into it, a holographic panel appearing above the device and displaying his recording time, "Ahem. Greetings, this is Professor Xukrik speaking in regard to perhaps my greatest experiment. Project O.V.E.R.D.R.I.VE. Addendum three, subject two is now stable. No signs of mutation or any other physical irregularities that may have been inherited from subject one. Subject two has immense Vek potential which was first observed upon it's birth, the tremors felt around Vekton lasted for several hours before ceasing as subject two was fed. It's vek is so potent that I have completely failed at collecting even the smallest of blood samples and also, due to the vek fields natural ability to partially negate temporal phenomena such as aging, subject two has a life expectancy of thousands if not millions of years. While not fully Vektonian, it would appear that the Emperor King's dominant genes played a huge part in the experiments success, i'm sure he will be more than pleased..." He paused for a moment before continuing, "...but something bothers me, something that I cant quite place. Judging from activity scans taken of its brain, the child is always wide awake despite appearing to be unconscious most of the time, and sometimes...I can feel it staring when my back is turned. When I look back, it fakes sleep again, it appears to be doing so right now. Warhammer 40k: a long journey
Questions often do not produce answers, the curiosity behind it is what motivates the progress to search for them. That's why he's so curious about everything. Why? Why is he here? why did they bring him to life? why is he so different from the other? Sometimes, he wondered about it, he wanted to ask his father, the Emperor...but maybe, maybe he doesn't need to. A story of a "man" who has no other choice but to fight and suffer alongside his people throughout history. Will the endless cruelty of the universe subdued him? Will the boundless madness of the dark gods and creatures of the warps break him down? He doesn't know, in fact, he doesn't know a single answer...but right now, it doesn't matter to him anymore. The galaxy is still burning, Tasks are at hand and will he be able to finish his father's wish? He'll find out on a long journey.
