In this Timeline the Katniss's attempt at a rebellion fails and after the events the the 74th annual hunger games she and Peeta run away into the woods after finding out that Snow wants to punish them for their actions in the arena, they make it into the wilds and due to their mysterious disappearance the 3rd quarter quell goes as it was originally planned to (in this timeline they reaped people between the ages of 12-24, 24 being the oldest to represent how 24 district rebels died per hour during the original uprising) the story takes place 10 years after Katniss and Peeta went missing from district 12 when Gale is scavenging for food in the forests around district 12, he finds a small girl with dark hair and forest green eyes, wearing some of the clothes Katniss used to wear when she was very young, next to her there was a small baby boy with blond hair, they both had notes attached to them. Could they be the final remains of the star-crossed lovers?
P.S hiiiiiiiiii this is vomit monster and this is the first story im making on the hunger games on wattpad (YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE) pls don't criticize Rudley even though some of the timeline wont make sense.

This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination.
