This poem is my way of letting go of a love that never fully belonged to me. I gave everything my heart, my soul but I was loving someone who was never really present. We had moments that felt magical, like stars burning bright, but they were fleeting. I stayed through the silence, the distance, the comings and goings, hoping things would change. But love isn't meant to feel like waiting at low tide it should be steady, not something that breaks me. This isn’t a bitter goodbye. It’s me choosing peace, choosing myself. If they ever return, I might still care but I won’t keep breaking for someone who won’t stay. It’s love that bends, not breaks.
