When Yumeko Yamaguchi was done being a puppet in her life, she decided to escape her ruthless world in exchange for some quiet, mundane life and cake. Now, under the new identity and false name of Rumi Lin, she, along with her closest comrades, is trying to adjust to a new life in a new city.

In plans to clean up their money and brighten up her new home, she decides to hire an artist. However, things start to take a different route when she starts to develop feelings more than just friendship for this cold, hauntingly beautiful young artist who has a budding passion for art and a distaste for violence.

Paint. Cakes. Secrets and a whole lot of butterflies are felt in this summer of Lansford. However, good days only last like a summer dream. She has to make this dream last, for if she is caught, she will lose her life.
