Being the daughter of the god of the Underworld isn't the first thing you'd want to tell someone about yourself. But when it might lead them to telling you exactly what you want to hear, through the fear of what they think you might be able to do to them, it can come in handy. My father thought that my mother's memory of us, of our whole world, was wiped clean from her mind, but I knew differently.
I knew that she still remembered and, with her memory still intact, she was still in danger of the person who we thought was a friend.
I knew that I had to find her, wherever she was, hiding in plain sight.
I knew that finding her and having her with us was the right thing, no matter what my father said.
But the one thing that I didn't know?
I didn't know that, after the twenty-four hundred years that I'd been alive, I would find the one person that I was destined to be with, the one person that I would do anything for, even defy the others that I loved.

" I lunge forward at him hitting his groin with my knee then right between the eyes. As soon as I do, he crashes to the ground, out cold. I go for more, but a pair of arms snatch my waist lifting me up. I kick my legs and flail my arms to get closer but he is too strong. "Let go of me!" I demand. "Shut up." A low strong voice commands."Is he okay?" "He is fine." I grunt. Then the young adult wakes up, then scurries back away from me. "Sorry ma'- miss... " he says, making me angry again. I give him a cold stare. "I'm sorry." He repeats, standing to his feet. "Put. Me. Down." I demand again. With a huff he puts me down. I step forward with full intentions to punch him again but the man behind me takes my arm, holding me back. I jerk forward to get off his grip but he takes my other arm tightly. "Alright! I'm done! I'm done!" I huff in defeat. " This story follows Astrid, a 26 year old female who ran away from home 10 years ago. She comes back home and everything is all fine and dandy until, "Unknown: You thought you could hide forever? I found you, and I can find your friend, Nicole. If you want her safe, you'll be at the ring in an hour." *Airyana* In a husky whisper, Dhairya leaned into her ear. "I told you... I don't talk. I prove it with my actions." He spun her around to face him, holding her waist tightly with one hand, while the other slid to the back of her neck. Before she could protest, he kissed her. At first, the kiss was soft, almost tender, but it quickly deepened into something more forceful, more intense. His hands roamed over her body, pulling her closer, as if he couldn't get enough. Aradhana struggled against him, trying to push him away. She bit down on her lip to stop him, hoping it would make him pull back. But instead, Dhairya retaliated, biting her lip harder, causing it to bleed. A sharp pain shot through her, and she felt the warmth of her blood trickling down the side of her mouth. *Ruvinash* Avinash smiled but didn't give in. Ruhi jumped to reach it, but lost her balance. She closed her eyes, bracing for the fall, but two strong arms caught her. She opened her eyes to find herself in Avinash's embrace, their faces inches apart. For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Ruhi, flustered, grabbed the book from his hand as he snapped out of his thoughts. She pushed him away playfully and said, "Everything is fair in love and war." "Okay then," he replied, pulling her close again with a jerk. *Ishika* Do I play it subtle? Or do I just-no, no, Mishika, calm down. You can't come on too strong. Play it cool. Play it safe. Just... make sure you stay close. Give him little hints. Smile when he looks your way. Laugh at his jokes, even if they're terrible. Basically, be the charming, irresistible version of yourself. Simple, right? Ugh, who am I kidding? Nothing about this is simple. But I'll figure it out. I mean, this is Jay Malhotra we're talking about. And if there's one thing I've learned, it's that sometimes, you have to fight for what-or who-you want. And I want him. Game on, Jay Malhotra. Game on. ____________________________________

[COMPLETED - ONLY MINORLY EDITED] ******************************************************** Greek myths - true or false? They should be false, and to 16-year-old Sophie Claire, it's never crossed her mind that they aren't. Until one day in History class when her teacher spends a day on Greek mythology and something strange starts happening - her friends and classmates begin to tell myths about certain Greek deities with frightening precision. And for some reason, she's began to feel a certain affinity for Persephone, the Greek maiden who was kidnapped by Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, and forced into a marriage with him. This isn't some coincidence or freak dream, she later finds out from a host of strange individuals who claim they're from Olympus, the grandoise home of the gods themselves. She is actually a modern reincarnation of the goddess Persephone, and she's not the only one. A few of her classmates also happen to represent the gods and goddesses from popular Greek myths, and the fact that all of them are present means that something monumental is about to happen. Something like being the girl to change Persephone's future, to break the cycle of kidnapper and victim - all by passing a trial. It won't be simple, she knows, and she's not quite that eager to take it up, but from the moment she found out that she was Persephone, there was no way to back out. She should've known, however, that dealing with all powerful, immortal deities wasn't going to be easy. They've got a few secrets and personality flaws up their sleeves, and they could be deadly. More than deadly - murderous.
