Colours (a ChenLiu fanfic)

There were moments in the past when Liu Xiao had almost met his soulmate. They were so close to meeting, but alas never did. His soulmate had moved into the apartment room next to his and their paths almost crossed multiple times, trapping Liu Xiao in a blinding and overwhelming pink world. But alas, as fast as it came, it was gone. That fleeting moment of happiness, that swing of pink paint, brushing over his world, disappeared in an instant. They moved away. Although this world does not rely on soulmates to greet colour to their eyes, Liu Xiao has felt like he's been living in a gray world ever since. The soft, beautiful, calming shade of pink - though stayed for but a mere week - had dazzled Liu Xiao's view, making every colour seen since seem dull. But maybe someday, Liu Xiao's purple could meet Li Tianchen's pink once more, and restore the beauty of all colours to Liu Xiao's eyes once again.
