newsies if it ended extremely sadly.

Katherine Plumber has been pulled into a large strike in the summer before the turn of the century. See her part of the strike through her eyes as she experiences situations and feelings she never thought she would. The story begins right in between Watch What Happens and King of New York. So about halfway through the musical. This is a complete story with 14 chapters. Update day will be Fridays or Saturdays, if you don't see it on Friday, check again on Saturday. I do not own the Newsies or the characters in it. This is kind of a crossover story, because I mention a character or two from the original movie. Disney owns all of the characters. I used some of the dialogue and that is also not mine. That goes to Disney and Harvey Fierstein. There are some added scenes so this is not your average strike story. The cover art picture is not mine, I found it on the Internet. It is a still from the movie. I slapped the text on it though. As far as OC's go, there is only one and he appears at the very end. It's been over a year since the strike has settled and the newsies haven't had any problems with Pulitzer since. But that's not to say that they didn't all have problems outside of work. Jack and Katherine were unhappy together. They didn't feel the love towards each other that they used to feel. Yet they were too scared to say something to one another. Crutchie wanted for his long-time crush to love him back, although he knew that would never happen. Still, one could dream. Davey and Les's father had been severely injured by an incident at work. He wasn't so lucky this time around and passed away due to blood loss. This drove their mother into a state of insanity, forcing Davey and Les to pack up their things and leave. They now live on the streets with their fellow newsies, struggling to support themselves just like every other newsie. Their lives were still pretty crappy and hopeless, but hey, they were still alive and that was what mattered. Then, a new kid shows up at the gates of The World and sends their lives into chaos once more.
