The world has always been a cruel isolated place, unkind to the different, unwelcoming to the strange, and worst of all completely hostile to the new. Most parents would try to prepare kids to be aware of this harsh truth about the world they live in, while some do it politely, teaching them in the kindest way possible that the world is a dangerous place.
However, most times parents will fail at that task or not even bother at all. Sometimes they are far too harsh and obsessive and then the child ends up learning nothing but mistrust and pain awaits them. Fear harbors in these cases and the child is never able to fully live.
But, that's not always the case, perhaps one day those broken and neglected children will find each other and learn together how to live in harmony in a world so eager to knock them down in the mud.
