The main character is a cousin of Katherine Pierce (Petrova), who, after the Salvatore brothers' transformation, cuts ties with her family and begins to take an interest in the fate of Damon and Stefan.
In the past, she befriended a demon - however, their paths diverged in the 1950s.
Now, after many decades, the heroine returns to Mystic Falls, sensing an approaching danger.
