That's when Teddy came into my story or maybe I started seeing the real story behind his eyes, all because of my book.
He was known as a playboy, the kind of boy girls whispered about but never truly trusted. I wasn't supposed to fall for someone like him. Everyone expected me to go for a guy like Mike the typical good guy, the "safe" choice. And he did try. Mike was kind, respectful, and always there. But somehow... my heart couldn't see him. It was Teddy my soul kept turning toward, even when I didn't understand why.
At first, I thought it was just the lockdown messing with my feelings people cling to comfort in chaos, right? But it was more than that. In the middle of fear and confusion, Teddy showed me a side of him no one else bothered to look for. He was thoughtful, protective, and deeply human. The way he calmed my panic without even touching me... the way he listened when I couldn't speak. Slowly, the image of the careless boy I thought I knew disappeared.
Looking back now, I understand that love doesn't always come in the package we expect. Sometimes the heart sees what the eyes and the world cannot. And in the middle of war, fear, and brokenness... I found my heart in Teddy.
