Sophie has always lived in the shadow of a difficult past: her mother is the only pillar in her life, while her father, lost in his battle with drugs, is a distant and painful memory. Now, at an American college, Sophie is just trying to rebuild herself, find her path, and maybe a little happiness.

Thanks to a new friend, she steps into a world of friendships and dreams, but most of all, she meets Jackson and Michael, two inseparable boys who will become her anchor... and her storm. Jackson, the boy with a disarming smile and a hidden heart, and Michael, more mysterious and intense, offer her two different paths, two worlds to explore.

But friendship, desire, and confusion intertwine in a dangerous game: Sophie will have to choose who to be, who to love, and most importantly, who to let go. Because every choice has a price, and sometimes the heart is never really alone.
