Lucia believes that she has the whole rest of her life figured out. After studying abroad in Italy for a year, all she wants to do is graduate, move back home, and celebrate with her sister. But everything changes when she is thrown into a supernatural world, where a civil war between powerful forces of magic fight constantly. "You are not attracted to me?" His voice was low and I smiled in triumph as I knew I had a step up on him.
"Nope."
He laughed and I faltered for a minute before he somehow got even closer, his leg brushing mine and he braced his hand on the window while the other snatched my throat.
My hands went up around his fingers to try to pry them away but it did not even seem to faze him as some sort of animalistic stillness settled in him.
He turned his wrist, making me have to tilt my head as he controlled my movements, squeezing slightly to create pressure and my eyes widened.
"Tell me female, why do you lie? You say such horrible things with that mouth yet I can feel your attraction and thoughts that tell a different story."
His voice was low, quiet enough that only I could really hear it. The sultry tone made me squeeze my legs together and I froze, not knowing what to say.
