*Title is subject to change* *Also, chapters are actively being edited. Nothing in the story is set in stone yet. As I develop the story, expect small changes to be made throughout earlier chapters* ⋆༺𓆩☠︎︎𓆪༻⋆ A Haunting Western Tale of Love, Regret, and the Shadows That Follow The Wild West is a land of dust and blood, where men live by the gun and die by the gun, but Cassidy Kane never feared death half as much as he feared remembering. A hardened drifter with a past he refuses to name, Cassidy once let a woman slip through his fingers. Kathrine Perditus, a woman soft as the spring rain and as colorful as the freshly bloomed wild flowers. Theirs was a love that burned too hot to last, a dance of stolen glances and unspoken words. By the time either dared to speak their heart, it was too late. Life tore them apart, and now Kit is gone, or so he thinks. Ever since, Cassidy has been running. Not from outlaws or the law, but from something worse: her memory. It clings to him like a shadow, a whisper on the wind, the scent of gunpowder, and wildflowers in the dead of night. And lately, it feels less like memory and more like something hunting him. Then he crosses paths with Asher Daley, a notorious gunslinger with a reputation darker than a moonless night. Daley knows things he shouldn't things about Kit, about the past Cassidy buried. And when Daley smiles, it's with the cold certainty of a man who's seen ghosts... and isn't afraid of them. Now, Cassidy must face the truth: Is Kathrine Perditus truly gone? Or is she coming for him one way or another? A gunslinger's legend is written in bullets and blood. But his reckoning? That comes in whispers.

River's Howl They were taken. Stolen from the safety of their world. Locked in a place where voices spoke too calmly, where hands held too tightly, where every breath felt like a risk. But Rain and Colt escaped. Through the shadows. Through the fear. Through the relentless grip of desperation-chased by something worse than the night itself. And they weren't alone. River-silent, unshaken, watching-had followed. Had led. Had protected. Now, in the heart of the wild, every step forward is a fight for survival. Every breath is a reminder of what lurks behind them. Every second brings them closer to home-if home still exists. Because they weren't the only ones watching. Because some things refuse to let go. And because River's howl doesn't just echo into the night-it warns of what's coming next. The book start getting good at chapter 9, the first 8 are mainly background. -------------------- Author's Note This book takes place during Rain's 3rd through 5th grade years, a time when she was homeschooled on the ranch before transitioning to public school. Her education wasn't just about coursework-it was about survival, resilience, and the lessons of life itself. Rain and Colt experience trauma that no one should ever endure, yet their journey isn't defined solely by hardship. This story explores their incredible strength, the ways they cope, and how they navigate the shadows of their past while holding onto hope for the future. Through pain, they find resilience. Through loss, they find understanding. And through each challenge, they discover a part of themselves that refuses to break. I truly hope you connect with their story, and I appreciate you being part of this journey. I'm already working on the next installment, and I can't wait to share it with you. Thank you for reading.
