"That's how I know.."
"Know what?"
"That you're really alive"
Finn and Grady are two high school Freshman. Both of the boys are loners, neither of them have friends and are widely regarded as the kids to stay away from. Just in case.
Finn is kindly short, medium length brown hair with curls he doesn't take care of, a pair of dull green eyes, and skin never seen outside of his home. He spends his lunch time in the bathroom, back corner stall, and spends his mornings in the corner of the gym with his headphones on 10. He knows there's something wrong with him, he just doesn't know what.
Grady is a bit taller, around average height, with hazel eyes that light up rooms. His hair is always dyed green, he keeps it long, around his shoulders. Grady has always been known as a loner, sure, but he was also known to be rather happy. He always walked around with a smile plastered on his face; he always stepped with such a joyful bounce you would think he won the lottery. Grady was always happy, never sad. He was content, happy.

"Jasper didn't look up. His entire frame was curled around her, shielding her body like he thought he could keep death out if he just held her tight enough." ~~
Evangeline never asked to inherit her mother's bloodline - a legacy steeped in prophecy, betrayal, and powers too dangerous to name. All she wants is to survive. But when she's torn from the life she knew and thrust into a hidden world of wolves, witches, and war, survival means facing the truth she's been running from.
Haunted by trauma and hunted by those who claim to love her, Evangeline struggles to control gifts that feel more like a curse. Trust is a luxury she can't afford-until Jasper, the fierce Alpha bound by duty and desire, vows to protect her even from herself. But every step toward him brings her closer to the shadows of her past...and the father who will stop at nothing to destroy her.
In a world where the line between life and death blurs, can her haunted eyes still see the light?
Keep in mind that you may not always like what the characters do, or feel, but this story is about understanding their humanity and the choices they make in extraordinary circumstances.
