"Promise me you'll look after my daughter please promise me?" From the lady's distress face, she could tell she had no choice.
Who else would look after this 4 year old? She felt it was her responsible to look after this little girl, to care for her, show her right from wrong. So what choice did she have?
After looking at the lady's torn up dress, she could tell she didn't have long. She was covered in dirt and dry blood and smelled like it too. With one last look at the bite mark on her neck, she said the words that would keep her bonded to this little girl for life, to look after her, to feed her, to clothe her, to protect her.
       "Yes yes I promise!"
