The world is changing. The Rapture has begun. Years ago, beings known as Angels descended upon the Earth, ravaging cities and decimating armies. Bullets didn't faze them. Nor did bombs, tanks, or blades. They were unstoppable. Insatiable in their desire for destruction. Until that day, when an Angel killed its fellow soldier, and project "Heaven's Gate" was formed. A bioweapons program intended to integrate parts of an Angel's physiology into a human host, in hopes that they could defend their fellow man. A shame none of the necessary test subjects were willing.

When a experiment gone wrong originates a plague that destroys the entire United States of America, everyone tries to survive at any cost. Maya, one lucky survivor, is lost and alone, fighting for survival against mutant creatures created by the corporation she used to work for. She felt guilty, enraged and disgusted for the experimentations that were done there but the damage was already done and she had no choice but to run like everyone else. So, when the last man she expected to see shows up, what will she do? Will she continue her journey alone or will beg to the man, that had every reason to hate her, to help her? And more important, what will he decide?

The world can change ever so quickly at any given time, especially if the world is attacked by a supervolcano. Fortunately, the destruction wasn't nearly as bad as the specialists predicted. Many months later, a genetic virus was discovered to be on the ashes. A virus that would destroy Earth as we know it.

In a post apocalyptic world, a terrorist army has developed new high-tech military bioweapons and have attacked every major country in the world. The effect of the bioweapon is permanent sleep. Those effected are perfectly preserved in a endless slumber. Their bodies don't rot. They don't need food or water. They sleep forever. During the creation of this secret weapon, a major detail was overlooked. A certain age group of people that have a certain elements in their blood are immune to all effects. Follow a group of teenagers in a small Missouri town, and uncover the secrets of the Bioweapon. We are Awake. Are you?

It starts with a simple itch, nothing more. Maybe a few random spasms or the occasional shudder but you'll think nothing of it. Then you'll get blood shot eyes... Not enough sleep? It gets worse, much worse. The itching turns to scratching, clawing at you skin until it bleeds... and bleeds and bleeds. Then comes the anger which tips you over the top making you brake into a full blown seizure. Madness. You still with me? Well you won't be if they catch you, you'll be one of them...infected.

Oh, what a wonderful time to be alive! Medical care is better than ever, the number of homeless has dropped dramatically, and war hasn't been sparked for five glorious years. But. Oh, of course there's a but! Did you truly expect this to be a story about a utopia? (Especially seeing how it's written by ME, of all people.) "End Trait" is the name of the virus, given to it by the survivors. The virus was created through a chain of events triggered by an atomic bomb, and much of humanity is gone.
