The mysterious notes, the ravens, the skulls, and the black rose.  Everything hints to the new kid.  Everything is evidence that Adrian McHalls is the one.  And everyone knows it.  Everyone can see the blatant evidence that this kid isn't clean.  

But still, Fionna Edwards believes that it wasn't him.  It couldn't have been him who sent her the black rose.  It just couldn't.
