Danielle has been struggling to pay her rent due to the budget cuts at her job, so at night she becomes dani efuru; the beautiful soulful songstress, she makes enough money to keep a roof over her head and clothes on her child's back. Danielle wants to become a singer, she was famous before but she was dropped from the record label.

Finn Mansfield; A 21 year old rapper/songwriter from New York, he's been looking for that perfect girl with that special soulful voice and he goes to Ontario, Canada to find her. One night he stumbles upon Danielle working at the cafe  and fortunately she becomes his waitress. He starts to flirt with shy and innocent Danielle and she opens up to him and they connect instantly.

But then she notices something coming home from work one night... Finn lives right next door to her which brings them closer.
