At 5000 metres above sea level, every step counts, so does every heartbeat.
When Xiao Zhan finally earns a much-needed break from the idol world and the suffocating world of fame, he doesn't expect to find himself at the foot of the world's most dangerous peaks. However, an unexpected invitation from his boyfriend, Wang YiBo, draws him to Tibet's base camp, Xixiabangma.
There are some very striking changes in YiBo now. The boy who was obsessed with hip-hop and street dance now speaks in terms of weather patterns and glacier routes. His calloused fingers now sing of jagged ridgelines and wind-chiselled stone, of frost-bitten ledges and the raw, untamed skin of earth.
As Zhan tries to understand this new world of Snow, silence, and altitude, he also begins to uncover the distance that has grown between them lately -and what remains unsaid.
