Life is rough for Maggie. She basically raises her siblings, doesn't have a lot of money, and is going into eleventh grade with no real friends. No human friends anyways. The best friend she's ever had is Millie, the three legged, one eyed golden retriever who everybody in the neighborhood hates. Sometimes it feels like the whole world is against Maggie, but with a new school year comes something more. Bring in a few new friends and a lot more fun, and maybe this year her life will finally start to look up.
