Under the Moonlight

Addison thought she had her life together until she met August, a funny, charming boy who loved dogs more than people and a sense of responsibility nobody could see. Nobody except Addison. She grew up in a quiet house, not quiet because nobody spoke, quiet because Addison distanced herself from everyone who she thought would become a problem if she got too close. Being quiet however means you notice more than you may even realize that you notice, you piece things together without meaning too and see things ways nobody else could. Addison always found herself strange, but when her mother told her that she was born right under the full moon in the middle of January, she understood why she seemed different from everyone else. The moon was powerful, so powerful that if the stars lined up just right, you could become the "moons child", and thats how Addison became so different, born under the moon at exactly midnight on October twenty-first, the moon glowed brighter than ever before, causing Addison to become the first Moon Child in over 3 centuries.
