Katrina "Kati" Voss is a quiet but brilliant systems analyst stationed at Facility Zero, a blacksite hidden in a remote Arctic tundra. Officially a data research lab, it's secretly run by Darian Holt, a charismatic yet enigmatic figure whose real agenda is veiled under layers of misdirection and paranoia. Kati, an orphan raised in the system, finds comfort only in her beloved cat Milo, who follows her everywhere-even through security clearances-and serves as her emotional compass.

Things begin to change when Kati befriends Lina Serrano, a new recruit in her early twenties with a sharp tongue and even sharper intellect. Lina challenges Kati's worldview, introduces laughter into her sterile routine, and slowly becomes her first real friend. The two form a deep, sister-like bond, even as they begin to question the increasingly unsettling practices of the facility.

Together, they form an underground alliance, sabotaging systems, rerouting surveillance, and slowly gaining ground inside the facility.
