In the proud kingdom of Demacia, magic is forbidden. Demacia is a wealthy nation built on traditions of law, honor, discipline, and strength. From childhood, its people are taught to fear magic, believe in the purity of their kingdom, and put the good of the nation above their own desires.
Those born with magic in their blood live in constant fear. They must hide their powers, suppress who they are, and never reveal their secret - not even to friends or family. Because if the truth comes out, the punishment is clear: imprisonment, torture, or death.
Magic is rare in Demacia. Most people are born without it, which makes those who carry this curse even more isolated and alone. The kingdom teaches its people to fear magic, to report anyone showing signs of it. Neighbors betray neighbors. Families turn on their own children.
Luxanna "Lux" Crownguard - the main character of this story - comes from one of Demacia's most noble families, sworn to uphold these laws. A family that would turn on her if they knew the truth: she was born with magical powers... and no one could ever know.
Torn between loyalty and fear, between duty and identity, Lux's story is not just about light - it's about survival, self-acceptance, and hope. Because even in a world built on chains, the smallest spark can start a fire.

AU Demacia, the home of Truth and Justice. Or is it? Yang Fen has only known honor and loyalty to the country that took him and his family in.
