The responsibility on Nova's shoulders didn't come as a choice. As the daughter of Commander Bright, leader of the Daywalkers, Nova is destined to eventually take her father's place as commander. She's fierce and determined, shining with the power of the sun at her side, and she's prepared to take down anything that stands in the way of making her father proud.

Victor, on the other hand, isn't as quick to embrace the responsibility given to him from his Aunt Eldress, leader of the Vampires. While she expects him to be the future leader, Victor would rather use his wind-controlling powers to escape his fate. He uses his charisma and humor to carve his path through life, but he's growing tired of pretending that he's prepared to lead.

Bound by mysterious visions they can't explain-and having no idea who the other is-Nova and Victor's destinies are intertwined. Drawn to each other, despite everything they've been taught and the essence of who they are, they must decide if they'll follow the paths carved by their families or forge a new future together.
